Beaver Recognized for 40 Years in Mansfield

Published by aktd-admin on

There’s international-class industry doing business out of Mansfield that recently celebrated a milestone anniversary.
Beaver Manufacturing has been doing business for 40 years now, supplying the world chemically-treated yarn for use in making hoses of all sorts. It’s the nation’s leading producer of hose yarn.

Ed Needham, who still owns the company, started Beaver in 1971 with Kenneth King.

Such longevity is rare these days. These folks are obviously doing something right.

They started with an old cotton warehouse with a dirt floor and old tree trunks for pillars. Now, the business has customers across the world that run plants on five continents.

Even in the face of a business downtown, Beaver is making a $1 million investment in equipment this year as it expands its global operations.
That’s great news.

We salute their tenacity and business know-how, and wish them well as they embark on another 40 years.
